My Story

I’m Steele (He/Him), an Allegheny County Registered Master Plumber and the owner-operator of Shadyside Plumbing LLC, an intentionally small plumbing company serving Shadyside and the surrounding neighborhoods. I graduated from a small liberal arts college with a focus in math before deciding I wanted a more hands-on career. After completing my apprenticeship, I passed my Journeyman and Masters tests with the highest scores of that sitting class. I was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in the South Hills before moving to Shadyside in 2017. When not working, you can find me walking the neighborhood with my Bernese Mountain dog and a cappuccino, remodeling our 1930s house, cycling, gardening, or social dancing. Being a bit of a perfectionist and nerd, I love talking about pipes, plumbing systems, old houses, and design/remodeling. I have been fixing things since I was a kid, and maintaining plumbing systems since 2017.

Steele is a master plumber who is a pleasure to work with. He knows his craft on an exceedingly high level. He is patient in explaining what needs to be done. He keeps appointment times, and his prices are fair. I would recommend him for all plumbing needs. In the past year, he has installed a water flow device required by my insurance company; fixed a dish washer leak and a toilet leak which just required positioning a tube. He is the best!

Steele is fabulous! He gave me quotes for several options to fix my plumbing issues at a new business location. He helped problem solve some creative solutions to my needs and talked me through picking which option was both going to work for my situation and be cost effective. He added and rerouted some piping, added in a water spigot, and installed a new faucet that would make my sink more functional for my needs. He's great with communication. I highly recommend him!
